Shadnagar, December 5: Maulana Mufti Mohammad Qasim Taskheer, naeb mufti Jamia Nizamia stressed the need to live lives in the light of Quran and Hadeeth. He advised Muslims to make Nikah easy so that people should not even think of fornication. He urged Muslims to perform Nikah in the manner performed by Prophets and their Companions.
He said Muslims are holding extravagant marriage functions and are indulging in various unsolicited and unwelcome traditions. Maulana Mufti Mohammad Qasim Taskheer said this while addressing society reformation meeting held at Lohiya Function Hall Shadnagar by Tanzeem Islah-e-Millat Shadnagar as chief guest.
Groom’s family places huge burden on Girl’s family and they are pressed under the burden of loan and interest in the name of standard wedding. A number of girls remain unmarried due to standard wedding and extravagance in marriage functions. He said.
Asking them to desist from extravagant marriage ceremonies he urged the Muslims to bring a change in their thoughts as Prophet (pbuh) said ‘the best Nikah is the one in which less expenditure is incurred.’
