Hyderabad: Even after the encounter of Gangster Nayeem, police did not get respite. So long as Nayeem was alive, a few policemen enjoyed all the luxuries. Now, after the death of Nayeem, name of his gang is creating problems for police.
Police arrested a person who was extorting money in the name of Nayeem gang. DCP of LB Nagar, Mr. M.V. Rao told that police will take stern action against such persons. He requested the people to inform about such incidents. He assured that the name of the informer would be kept secret and he would be provided security. He further told that of late, such incidents are on the increase.
He informed that Rajesh (25) approached Saroor Nagar Police and made a complaint that a person by name Seshu is threatening him claiming himself to be the kingpin of Nayeem’s gang. He demanded Rs. 1.5 crore.
After receiving this complaint, Saroor Police, in a joint action with Special Operation Team arrested the person. He was identified as Nagesh (22) an auto driver, a resident of Hastinapur.
During interrogation, police found that he was arrested earlier by Saroor Nagar Police and sentenced to jail.
