In a significant development, Legislature Assembly has released official Gazette notifications expelling the two congress leaders Komatireddy Venkat Reddy and Sampath Kumar from their MLA posts for the incident in which Council Chairman Swamy Goud was injured.
At the directive of the Speaker, the Assembly Secretary, V Narasimhacharyulu issued separate orders of notifications in this regard. The Assembly Legislature has issued notifications 41a nd 42 citing the expulsion of Komatireddy Venkat Reddy MLA from Naglonda and Sampath Kumar MLA (SC) from Alampur.
As leader of the house K Chandrasekhar Rao has taken the incident very seriously and the speaker announced their expulsion and suspension of other protesting congress members till the end of the budget session. The orders issued on March 13 night and the seats are falling vacant since then, the notifications said. Speaker S Madhusudhan Chary had announced the decision of expulsion of the two members for the incident of injuring Council Chairman Swamy Goud on the first day of budget session when Governor ESL Narasimhan was addressing the joint session on March 12. The Assembly Secretary also sent the same gazette notifications of two vacant seats and sought fresh by elections for the two seats.(NSS)
