A powerful explosion took place in a house in Rajiv Gruha Kalpa Colony in Viquarabad. It occurred due to gelatin sticks kept in Majeed’s house in the colony. A woman by name Ms. Vasanta (40), Malika (6) and Kartik died on the spot.
Twelve persons were seriously injured. The explosion was so powerful that the other houses were also damaged. Panic prevailed in the colony. Police collected the evidence and started investigations. Security arrangements in Hyderabad and Secunderabad were tighterned. Sniffer dogs were called and police arrived at a conclusion that the explosion took place due to storage of gelatin sticks illegally in a private house.
CM of A.P. Mr. N. Kiran Kumar Reddy expressed his grief over the incident and instructed the police officials to conduct a thorough enquiry.
