Explore ecotourism possibilities: Raje

Jaipur: Rajasthan chief minister Vasundhara Raje today directed wildlife officials to explore possibilities of promoting ecotourism in districts like Barmer, Jalore, Dholpur and Hanumangarh.

Chairing a meeting of state Wildlife Board, Raje said these districts have potential to be developed as ecotourism destinations and officials should explore them and work on “project mode”.

She directed to speed up activities of forest and wildlife conservation with the participation of local populace around wildlife sanctuary areas.

It was informed in the meeting that the vehicles used for wildlife safari in Ranthambhore national park will be linked with GPS, a release said.

Ecotourism is directed towards exotic natural environments, intended to support conservation efforts and observe wildlife.
