In a meeting with Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Sri N. Chandrababu Naidu, the delegation consisting of authorities from Europe’s largest oil company Shell, state-owned oil firm GAIL and Europe’s LNG importer GDF Suez have been asked to expedite the process of setting up the LNG Kakinada terminal.
The State Government has ordered the officers to immediately work on the infrastructure required to set up the LNG terminal. Andhra Pradesh government will source nearly 2,000MW power from this.
