Chief Secretary PK Mohanty today directed the officials of various departments to complete bifurcation process immediately.
During a high level review meeting with the officials in Secretariat here on Thursday, Mohanty appealed to them to work in tandem to ensure speedy distribution of officials and hassle free handover of staff among two states. Since Appointed Day is beginning from June 2 and Telangana State Government is to begin functioning the officials should ensure their works complete in time by May 29, he is learnt to have directed them.
The meeting assumes significance as the employees of two states are still sticking to their guns. While Seemandhra employees seeking options, the T employees are demanding apply of nativity while distributing the officials and staff among the two states. Keeping the war of words between them, the CS is said to have asked the officials to wind up the process at the earliest and resolve the issue. In the wake of bifurcation of the state and carving out T State and Andhra Pradesh is yet to get its new capital we must be extra cautious, the CS stated to have asked the officials. The officials onthe other hand informed that the process is almost complete and distribution is as per the guidelines framed by various committees including Pratyush Sinha, AN Roy, Saluddin Ahmed and others.(NSS)
