A special report was published in Siasat on July 2, 2008, which revealed that there were two masajid and some graves on 19 acre land purchased from a Muslim landlord. The existence of two 100 year old masajid is in peril as Aditya Homes Group is constructing a colony named Royal Palms on the land mentioned. For this they are digging deep pits close to Masjid which imperils the masjid existence.
According to sources this was actually the Haveli of Late Doost Mohammed Khan Jagirdar and it was until recently known as Ashraf Bagh. Later a Gujarati purchased it and named it as DM Patel Bagh. Houses worth crores of rupees are being constructed in the gated community.
