All India Industrial will start on 1st January and will continue till 15th February.
C.M. of A.P. Mr. N.Kiran Kumar Reddy will start Exhibition on 1st January 2013 at 6 p.m.
Mr. K.Jana Reddy, Minister of Ranchayathi Raj who is also the President of Exhibition Society will preside over the inaugural function. Ms. Sabitha Indira Reddy; Home Minister would be the Chief guest.
Mr. V.Vijayender, Vice President, Mr. R.Mukesh Reddy, Secretary and Mr. Anil Swaroop Mishra, Convener of publicity committee while talking to newsmen justified the decision of Mr. K.Jana Reddy to enhance entry ticket from Rs.10 to Rs.20. When the reporters asked them the reason for enhancing the fees, they said that the prices of all the commodities have been increased and therefore the rates of entry fees have also been enhanced. They said that more policemen are being deployed to prevent any casualties. In order to minimize the rush of the public, a new entrance gate has been opened. Mr. Jana Reddy told that everyday cultural programmes would be organized. Arrangements are being made to telecast those programmes on the T.V. Channels direct.
Mr. Jana Reddy informed that stalls of various states are being erected besides special stalls of Pakistan. He also informed that in view of the publish rush, it has been decided to minimize the number of stalls. He said that last year, an Rs.15 crore income was raised and after deducting expenses, Exhibition Society earned a net income of Rs.4 crore. After distributing this income to various educational institutions, Exhibition Society could save only Rs.66, 000. He told that Govt. has extended the period of lease of Exhibition Grounds for a further period of 50 years. Exhibition Society is trying to get the entire land of Exhibition Ground transferred in the name of the society. Exhibition Society is considering constructing a multi-storeyed complex this year but it involved an investment of Rs.30 to Rs.40 crore, which the society can’t afford. He further told if anyone comes forward to construct the building complex, it is ready to take up this proposal.
