Finance Minister Etela Rajender today termed as baseless the rumors spread in a section of the media that the State government cancelled lease period of Exhibition Society in Nampally.
In a press release here today, the Finance Minister, who is Chairman of the Exhibition Society clarified that there was no truth in such mischievous reports. “Some people were carrying out misinformation campaign against the society”, Rajendar said. “We did not cancel the lease to the Society and there was no such idea with the government”, Rajender remarked.
He also declared that the Nampally Exhibition society land lease has not been cancelled by the government. The Society was offering best services to the society by providing education to the poor and women. Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao was giving top priority to protect our culture and traditions and supporting the institutions and personalities with public fame and patronage”, he added.
Rajender said that Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao in his first inaugural program of Exhibition society after the formation of separate Telangana had said that the Exhibition Society is doing commendable services in the field of education and health sectors respectively. The Chief Minister also praised the Exhibition Society for its seamless services besides running 18 Educational Institutions including Vanitha Maha Vidyalaya, Kasturbha Gandhi Maha Kalashala, Kamala Nehru Polytechnic had already celebrated their 50 years of Golden Jubilee celebrations. Rajender said that keeping the importance of the educational institutions in view the Chief Minister has announced of giving the Nampally land to the exhibition society on lease for a period of 99 years.
The concerned departments are working out on preparing modalities on the lease term to be given to the present Exhibition society. He appealed to the people to not to believe some vested interests for spreading meaningless rumours on the lease of the Exhibition Society. (NSS)
