Exhibition of old Urdu newspapers at World Urdu Editors Conference

Hyderabad, December 29: An exhibition of 160 year old Urdu newspapers will be held on the occasion of World Urdu Editors Conference to be organised by Siasat daily on December 30, 12 noon at Jubilee Hall Public Garden (Nampally).

Mr. Syed Viqaruddin chief editor Rahnuma-e-Deccan will inaugurate the exhibition. Besides first Urdu newspaper ‘Jam-e-Jahanuma’, several old newspapers will also be displayed.

Seminar on Urdu journalism will be held on the same day at 2:30 pm in which editors, journalists, columnists from across the country and also from abroad will take part.

Seminar on Urdu Journalism’s present scenario will be held on December 31 at 10:30 am; the second seminar will be held the same day at 2:30 pm. Valedictory function will be held at 4:30 pm.

Former CM and TDP supreme Mr. N Chandra Babu Naidu will be the chief guest. The function will be chaired by Mr. Zahid Ali Khan editor Siasat daily. An attractive souvenir will also be released on the occasion.

Vice president of India Mr. Hamid Ansari, state Governor ESL Narsimhan, chief minister Andhra Pradesh Mr. Kiran Kumar Reddy, external affairs minister Mr. E Ahmed will attend the inaugural function of the conference.
