Hyderabad, November 10: Mr. N. Kiran Kumar Reddy, C.M, of A.P. has written a letter to Mr. Ghulam Nabi Azad, Union Health Minister on 31st October. Seeking exemption from National Eligibility test for admission into medical courses in the state.
He also said that Govt. of A.P. can also file a special leave petition in Supreme Court in this regard. Mr. Reddy told that in 2010, Govt. of A.P. had agreed for conducting a Common Entrance Test for medical admissions but it requires amendments in state regulations.
The syllabus of intermediate also needs to be revised. The present intermediate batch of students is studying according to state syllabus. EAMCET consists of 75 marks in each subject whereas 25 marks are reserved for annual examination performance.
