A respectable and noted personality of the city conducted an exemplary marriage of his son. The card cost hardly 2 to 3 rupees. The Nikah was performed in a mosque. The groom’s family didn’t lay the burden of booking a function hall for the marriage ceremony. The Nikah was performed in the vast premises of Masjid Haji Kamal, Darushifa, which was attended by atleast 500 guests. Qari Mohammad Ali Khan recited the verses of Holy Quran. Groom’s father gave a short & comprehensive speech after Nikah and threw light on the unwarranted trend of extravagance in Muslim marriages. Mr. Hamed Mohammed Khan president MPJ translated khutba-e-Nikah in Urdu.
Immediately after Nikah the bride was sent to grooms house directly from the Masjid.
Valima ceremony too had a simple menu with biryani, luqmi and a sweet dish. Promoting simple Nikah and one dish valima function is the duty of every Muslim, so as to Make Marriage easy and Zina Difficult.
