Job Description:
Manage the movement of products/Capital equipment/materials in accordance with organisational policy and procedures and to comply with local & international law and process.
Manage necessary documentation for the efficient, cost effective and lawful execution of all import activities. Maintain and share with colleagues as appropriate, personal knowledge of all relevant import law procedures, tariffs & duties, licences and restrictions.
Manage financial transactions in accordance with the policy and law and to optimise cost effectiveness of the activities
Communicate with import and related authorities and suppliers in all relevant areas as necessary to ensure efficient, positive and lawful relations, support and activities.
Plan and implement import strategy and activities consent with overall aims and requirements of the organisation.
Manage all staff reporting to the position so as to effectively train, evaluate, motivate , delegate and monitor activities.
Liaise with other departments (internal/external) in order to establish maintain effective and relevant import activities and support in relation to material management and overall purchasing activities
