Executive Council meeting of Maulana Azad National Urdu University was held in Hyderabad in which some important administrative decision were said to be taken. The Executive Council meeting assumes importance in the situation that Vice Chancellor’s term is going to expire on May 12. According to reliable sources 4 members belonging to others states were not present in the meeting. However people belonging to university completed the quorum and held the meeting while making some important decision. It was tried to endorse some controversial decisions taken by the Vice Chancellor.
In the wake of reports published in the newspapers regarding irregularities and violation of rules, the agenda of Executive Council was prepared very cautiously.
Meanwhile the council completely supported the recent decisions taken by Vice Chancellor and possibilities of appointment of incharge Vice Chancellor in case of expiry of his term were explored.
Meanwhile another important revelation came to fore with regard to violation of rules in appointment. During previous Vice Chancellor’s period 33 such people were appointed who did not fulfil eligibility criteria.
Meanwhile Communist Party of India and its sub-organisation Tanzeem-e-Insaaf have announced to stage protest dharna in front of the university on April 27. Ex-MP Aziz Pasha will lead the dharna.
