Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao has claimed that except Telangana Rashtra Samithi, no other political party has a future in Telangana State.
Addressing the TRS party’s extended session at Kompally here on Tuesday, KCR claimed that TRS has the best of cadre compared to all other political parties in the State. The brilliant minds and youth are joining the TRS in large numbers and they will take the party to the next level, he said while advising them to work unitedly to achieve the goal of ‘Bangaru Telangana’.
The Chief Minister said that there would be an increase of two Assembly segments in each Parliamentary constituency from next elections which would take the total number of Assembly seats from present 119 to 154. He expressed confidence that the TRS would win 135-140 seats in the next elections.
KCR also listed out various schemes launched by his government for the welfare of people. He said that the government was spending Rs 3,500 crore on pensions. Further, it started the ambitious project of Water Grid to provide tap water supply to all households across the State. He reminded the party workers of his promise of not seeking votes in next elections if he fails to fulfill this promise. (INN)
