Ex-wife of Gerry the winner of £32.5m fortune ‘doesn’t want him back again in her life

London: Gerry Canning, 63 a retired teacher and the ex-husband of Jenny Brown,61 has won Britain’s second biggest lottery jackpot of £32.5m on February 14.

Despite of his great fortune Jenny who is a management consultant wouldn’t take him back in her life again. Jenny and Gerry, divorced each other 17 years ago and have two sons Andrew, 31, and Thomas, 34. They were married for 25 years. She hopes that their children will benefit.

She said. “I’m about to retire so I’m not going to be able to help them as much as I have in the past.” She further said. “We didn’t lead an affluent lifestyle. When you’re married to a teacher, you don’t.”

She added. “My new husband asked if it would have been worth being married to him for £32million. No. I don’t envy him and don’t expect anything from him.”

She says she had no regrets or hard feelings. “We are happy. I wouldn’t change it for £32million. Gerry will deal with it sensibly.” said Jenny.

And said. “I’m about to retire so I’m not going to be able to help them as much as I have in the past.” Jenny said she and Gerry are still friends, adding: “He’s a nice person.”
