New Delhi: Former Member of Parliament Mohammed Adeeb calls for a separate bill for non-Muslim sisters. He said, many non-Muslim sisters are abandoned and are living in agony. He cited the examples of Modi’s wife, Dharmendra’s first wife and children and Paswan’s sister.
Mr Adeeb laments that the Modi government is discriminating women by providing justice to Muslim sisters but not to Hindu sisters. Claiming that Triple Talaq is not followed by all schools of thought, he says it is conflict of faith which is being made a political tool.
The ex-MP slammed Ravi Shankar Prasad for not giving Danish Ali and Azam Khan a chance to speak in the Lok Sabha. Smelling a conspiracy behind allowing Hyderabad MP Asaduddin Owaisi, former MP Mr Adeeb observes, they allow Owaisi to speak because they project Owaisi through media. Many MPs including justice loving non-Muslims spoke very well in the parliament but they are not highlighted, because the government wants to project the matter as a Hindu-Muslim issue.
Mr Adeeb suggests to bring a separate bill in parliament for non-Muslim sisters of the country. He claimed the triple talaq issue is being highlighted to deviate people’s mind from other important issues like economic crisis, etc. Mohammed Adeeb asserts that anti-Muslim atmosphere is being created in the country. Regarding Triple Talaq Bill he says every citizen of the country enjoys constitutional right to practice their own religion. It is unfortunate that the man who abandoned his wife has brought a bill for justice of Muslim sisters, he said.
