Ex-MLA create ruckus at polling station, breaks EVMs

Alleging rigging in the municipal elections, former MLA Pinelli Lakshma Reddy created ruckus at a polling station here and broke the EVMs in protest.

Pinelli got agitated after he reportedly caught a person red handed while voting illegally. He questioned the officials about the activity and later lost control. He allegedly abused the polling staff and even threatened to kill them.

The police immediately intervened and sent the former MLA out of the polling station. On a complaint lodged by the polling staff, the local police registered a case and began investigations. The Election Commission too ordered a probe and sought stern action in the incident. (INN)
