Senior TDP leader of East Godavari district and former minister Metla Satyanarayana passed away this morning in the NIMS hospital. He was ailing for some time.
He was undergoing treatment at NIMS for a few weeks now and breathed his last as his condition deteriorated in the morning.
The departed leader had successfully contested to the Assembly from Amalapuram constituency thrice. The TDP leaders expressed shock over his demise. His body was taken from NIMS hospital to the NTR Bhavam to enable the party leaders and workers to have a glimpse of the departed leader. Party leaders said the body will be taken to Amalapuram for last rites.
On hearing the demise of Metla Satyanarayana, Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu, TDP general secretary Nara Lokesh, deputy chief minister China Rajappa, Finance Minister Yanamala Ramakrishnudu and several party leaders condoled his death and conveyed their sympathies to the members of the bereaved family.
