Ex-Gujarat DIG Vanzara’s son caught accepting bribe red handed, arrested

Ahmedabad (Gujarat): The Gujarat Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) on Tuesday arrested former Gujarat IPS officer DG Vanzara’s son Arjun Vanzara for allegedly accepting a bribe of Rs. 75, 000.

According to reports, Arjun Vanzara is an official in the land records office and had demanded a bribe from a farmer for making an entry in his land records.

The farmer lodged a complaint with the ACB against the official, which led the ACB team to catch him red-handed.

Arjun is the son of prime accused in the Ishrat Jahan and Sohrabuddin encounter cases former DIG DG Vanzara.

DG Vanzara returned to Ahmedabad after nine years in April after a court modified his bail conditions, which had banned him from entering Gujarat. (ANI)
