The State Government has enhanced ex-gratia to dependents of Defence Personnel belonging to Andhra Pradesh, who were killed in action or disabled in action.
The State Government on Tuesday issued G.O.Ms. No. 26 in this regard. Members of Defence Services, who distinguished themselves by Act of Gallantry in the field should be given monetary grants at the rates indicated therein. The ex gratia to kin of those killed in action hiked to Rs 1,00,000 for totally disabled, double amputee Rs 40,000 and single amputee and one eye blind, deaf, loss of toes, fingers to Rs 20,000. For burns, gunshot wounds, battle accidents, multiple compound fractures to Rs 10,000. (NSS)
