Ex-gratia given to Kishan Bagh martyrs scanty: Civil Liberties Committee

Civil Liberties Committee (CLC) claimed that Rs. 6 lakh ex-gratia given to the kin of Shujauddin Khateeb, Mohammed Fareed and Wajid Ali killed in miscreants attack and BSF firing in Kishan Bagh is scanty. Government should have increased the ex-gratia upto Rs. 10 lakh. Apart from that the persons injured in BSF firing and attack by miscreants should also be given compensation immediately. Rs. 50 thousand compensation to each of the injured was announced but the same is not paid to them so far. A 12-member team of Civil Liberties Committee talked to police officials and local people by visiting Arsh Mahal, Kishan Bagh.

Mr. M Narayan Rao, PM Raju, M Srinivas and Sudarshan reached Siasat office and apprised the facts regarding Sikh attacks at Kishan Bagh. They claimed that had the police took timely step, the life and property loss would not have happened.
