New Delhi, February 20: A Delhi court today convicted a former employee of a businessman of killing him by inflicting 59 stab wounds and robbing him of over Rs six lakh in 2006.
Additional Sessions Judge Dharmesh Sharma held accused Yogesh Sharma guilty of various offences under IPC, including murder, and also convicted his associate Sribhagwan of assisting in concealing stolen goods.
The two were apprehended by the Delhi Police on October 28, 2006 from Kolkata at the instance of Sharma’s girlfriend, whom he used to call from his cellphone while in hiding.
Sharma had murdered Sunder Lal Jain (55), who was the owner of Mala Silk and Sarees store at Chandani Chowk here. He killed Jain at his shop by inflicting as many as 59 stab injuries on him on June 24, 2006.
