Ex CIA boss General Petraeus facing felony charges for leaking information to lover

The FBI and Justice Department have recommended felony charges against the former director of the CIA General Petraeus for leaking classified information to his mistress, Paula Broadwell.

According to the Verge, the former CIA director has not yet commented on the charges but said that he does not have any interest in a plea deal.

Attorney General Holder will decide whether the government presses charges against Petraeus.

The case is supposed to be one of the largest court cases against a senior army officer in recent history.

During the investigation, officers have also broken into the former director’s Gmail account.

One FBI officer initially said that the case holds too much sensitivity. (ANI)
