Hyderabad, January 25: An elderly person, who worked with the ACB for more than 20 years, was caught travelling with a fake visa to UK. He was caught by the airport authorities at Dubai two days back on his way to UK. He was deported back to the city and the Cyberabad police arrested him.

The person, 63-year-old E Ranga Rao of Moosarambagh, joined as a LDC in the ACB in 1976 and worked till 1998. In 2001, he shifted to the UK where he joined a computer firm.

Ranga Rao’s visa got expired in 2005 but he managed to get his visa extended through illegal means with the help of an agent and stayed there till 2009. “In 2009, he returned to the city and recently he once again planned to leave to UK and used the same fake visa to go there,” Rajiv Gandhi International Airport SI Kiran Kumar said. Ranga Rao took a private airlines flight to the UK via Dubai two days back. Though he could dodge the authorities here, the immigration authorities at Dubai airport caught him with the fake visa and deported him back. “Cases of cheating and impersonation have been registered against Rao,” Kiran Kumar said.
