Mumbai, June 27: Promos of two films starring Sonam Kapoor, I HATE LUV STORYS and AISHA, are currently on air. What is pretty much visible in the fact that there is a new Sonam one sees in both the films, especially when compared to her earlier two efforts – SAAWARIYA and DELHI 6. So in a way, is it an altogether new beginning for Sonam, especially so since she is seemingly a different route for her newer films?
“I don’t know if this can be termed as a new beginning per se”, says Sonam Kapoor who is back in India after a draining scheduling in UK for Shahid Kapoor starrer MAUSAM, “Whether it is I HATE LUV STORYS or AISHA, they are different films by themselves and hence I too have to act and look different.”
Narrating examples from past, present and future, Sonam says, “Rest assured, this is going to be the case for each of my films. Today you are saying that it’s a different me that you are seeing in my upcoming two films. But then compare any of the characters that I have played; whether it is Simran, Aisha, Bittu or Sakeena, I have always adopted a different body language and tone. I can’t be repeating myself.”
“For me, every movie that I do is a brand new thing for me. It’s a different setup and experience altogether. I am sure you would have a similar comment to make when you watch me in THANK YOU and MAUSAM as well. There too, I would be totally different from what I have done in each of my films so far. I have to ensure that otherwise I myself would get bored in quick time”, she signs off.
