Union Urban Development Minister M. Venkaiah Naidu today said Prime Minister Narendra Modi was keen on extending compensation to the farmers, who lost their crop due to the recent rains.
The Union minister was speaking after inspecting paddy and other fields at Revanapalli and Sivareddy Gudem villages under Pochampalli mandal of Nalgonda district on Wednesday. Naidu assured the farmers that he would make all possible efforts to see that every aggrieved farmer gets adequate compensation without discrimination on party lines. He also said his visit was purely on the orders of the Prime Minister and has nothing to do with politics since it was a natural disaster.
