Bengaluru: Aimed at propelling Internet of Things (IoT) startups, India Electronics and Semiconductor Association (IESA) and The Indus Entrepreneurs (TiE) started a two-day IoTNext 2015 event on Wednesday to create an ecosystem for IoT focused startups.
“IoTNext 2015 is one of a series of initiatives IESA and TiE have started to promote the development of ecosystem around IoT,” said Vinay Shenoy, managing director, Infineon. Shenoy is one of the organisers of the event.
IoTNext 2015 themed as “Innovating Digital Economy with IoT Solutions and Services” aims to converge multi-disciplinary facets of IoT technology ecosystem which encompasses IoT hardware, IT, big data, cloud, connectivity and others.
“Our partnership (IESA and TiE) started in June 2014. Until now we have organised nearly 18 workshops and we are working with 120 startups. We give access to infrastructure, testing, labs and aim to develop hardware,” said Naganand Doraswamy, president, TiE.
