EU’s foreign policy chief rebukes Trump; says Iran nuclear deal will remain valid

When asked, if the Iran nuclear deal still holds up, if United States President Trump doesn’t recertify it, Federica Mogherini, Foreign Policy Chief, European Union said let me first remind you that “The atomic agency IAEA (International Atomic Energy Agency), has verified eight times that Iran is compliant with all the commitments included in the agreement. We have the international community strongly behind full implementation of the deal.

She added, the deal was negotiated for 12 years and was unanimously voted by the UN Security Council, hence there is no question of renegotiations. She said the agreement that is working and the worst thing you can do is to try to dismantle it. Rebuking US, she says, the message you are giving to the world is that America cannot be trusted upon.

She also claimed that the United States had no right to unilaterally terminate the Iran nuclear accord.
