Telangana Finance Minister Etela Rajender today held a review meeting with department officials on preparation of interim Budget. The meeting focused on issues and promises made in TRS manifesto.
It is being stated that the budget will allocate adequate funds mainly to restoration of lakes and water bodies, Telangana Water Grid, Power production, according to information. Rajender is learnt to have asked the officials to ensure that these heads are allocated adequate funds to keep the promises made. Other issues that were touched upon include crop loan waiver, pensions and fees reimbursement and welfare schemes like Kalyana Lakshmi, Shadi Mubarak and conversion of Lambada Thandas into Gram Panchayats.
According to informed sources, the first budget session will allocate funds to various heads that can be used till the next main budget to be presented in February or March 2015. (NSS)
