Etela to introduce Maiden Budget on Sept. 10

The first Budget Session of Telangana Assembly is likely to begin on September 3 and Finance Minister Etela Rajender is expected to introduce his maiden budget on September 10, according to informed sources.
Chief Minister K Chandrasekhara Rao, who visited State Assembly premises here on Monday is understood to have gave his nod for the budget session to commence from September 3. While Andhra Pradesh Government has declared that it will go with budget session from August 16 itself, KCR closeted with Telangana Assembly Speaker Madhusudhana Chary, Council Chairman Swamy Goud and Legislative Assembly Affairs and Irrigation Minister T Harish Rao and discussed for a short while on the proposed budget and business rules and number of days the House should function.
They reportedly discussed on various issues like budget session, Supreme Court verdict on EAMCET 2014 Counseling, allocation of existing building among parties and works related to Metro Rail. It is being stated that KCR, a staunch believer in ‘’astrology’, has suggested September 3 and 10 being the auspicious days to begin the session and introduce the first budget.
Though what transpired between them is yet to be known, it is being stated that the CM discussed on budget and mainly the counseling. While Andhra Pradesh Government has moved SC on counseling, the TS Government is preparing its own plan for counseling. Besides, the Telangana Government reprimanded the proposal to share 58 and 42 per cent of fees among AP and TS made by AP CM N Chandrababu Naidu.
In the wake of Supreme Court verdict to complete EAMCET 2014 Counseling by August 31 and commence the classes in September first week while adjourning the next hearing to August 11, the CM is said to have shared his ideas with them. Another important issue that was prominently figured is that KCR was not happy with the officials for ambiguity with regard to allocation of same building premises among two parties. Besides another issue on which KCR is said to have asked the officials to take measures to get vacated those 15 Seemandhra MLAs ‘overstaying’ in the MLA quarters at Hyderguda. (NSS)
