Hyderabad: Health Minister Etela Rajender today appealed to the protesting doctors to resume duties keeping in view the health problems of poor in the State. The minister inaugurated a special ward of Integrated Wellness Center at NIMS here.
Speaking on the occasion, the minister urged the striking doctors and medical professionals to withdraw their protest.
The government was ready to address their issues and the doctors should resume their duties forthwith, he said. He also said the issues of the doctors and medical professionals will be taken to the notice of Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao to resolve them. The doctors must get back to duties and serve the patients as their primary responsibility.
The new wellness center is meant for VIPs, VVIPs and can be used for common patients also, he said. The minister said the wellness center will provide master checkup, cardiology, and Ayush services as it has consultation room and radiology wing. When the contract and staff nurses sought a solution to their long-pending problems, the minister directed Health Secretary Shanthi Kumari to look into the issue.
