TRS Floor leader Etela Rajender on Friday suggested to the Seemandhra legislators not to remain as traitors in the history by stalling the debate on Andhra Pradesh Reorganization Bill in the House.
Speaking at the Assembly media point, Rajender said under Article (3) of Constitution of India, the Centre has full powers to form a new State in the country.
The Telangana Bill will be placed before Parliament in February considering the State Assembly deemed to have sent its opinion after January 23. He underlined the need to participate in the debate on draft Telangana Bill in-depth in the House.
Rajendar opined that Speaker Nadendla Manohar has responsibility to complete the discussion on draft Telangana Bill in the House. If the House fails to take up discussion on draft Telangana Bill, it was nothing but dishonoring the President of India, he felt.
Reminding that the Speaker had suspended TRS legislators when they stalled the proceedings, he urged the Speaker to do the same to take up discussion on draft Telangana Bill in the Legislative Assembly. (NSS)
