Hyderabad, August 06: Perhaps emboldened by the results of the recently concluded by-elections to 12 seats in Telangana region which the Telangana Rashtra Samithi won with sizeable margins, the TRS leadership feels it can make any statement.
The press conference by TRS Floor Leader in the Assembly Etela Rajender on Thursday was full of vitriolic where he spewed fire on Kadapa MP YS Jaganmohan Reddy and his late father and former chief minister late YS Rajasekhara Reddy.
Mr Rajender said that Mr Jaganmohan Reddy was a ‘Telangana Traitor’ just like his late father and went to the extent of saying that even if the Kadapa MP’s ‘Jejamma’ (godfathers) had canvassed in the by-polls, no one except the candidates put up by the TRS could have won.
Claiming that the people of Telangana had no relations with the Kadapa MP, he said that Mr Jaganmohan Reddy would not have able to attract even a single voter.
The TRS leader also said the ‘Odarpu Yatra’, taken out by the young MP to console the families of those who died after the news of YSR’s death became public, and other issues raised by Mr Jaganmohan Reddy were meaningless, just like an old record which has been used many times in a gramophone.
Rajender also said that the statement of Telugu Desam Party president N Chandrababu Naidu of ‘North and South Telangana’ was like the utterances of a mentally disturbed person.
