Etala denies differences between TRS and TPJAC

The Telangana Rashtra Samithi on Sunday denied having any difference with the Telangana Political Joint Action Committee.

Talking to reporters here, TRS floor leader Etela Rajender dismissed the media reports about the differences between TRS president K Chandrasekhar Rao and TPJAC chairman Prof M Kondandaram. He claimed that it was the TRS which constituted the TPJAC as a common platform for all parties and leaders to intensify the statehood agitation. Stating that there were no differences with the TPJAC, he said that the TRS would continue to support all the organisations and individuals who were working for the cause of Telangana statehood.

Predicting that the Congress party would be completely wiped out from the region, Etala Rajender said that the ruling party was delaying the decision on Telangana in the name of consensus. He said the statehood issue could never be resolved if the Centre waits for consensus. Therefore, he demanded that the Congress High Command take an immediate decision and announce formation of Telangana State.

The TRS leader also condemned Telugu Desam Party president N Chandrababu’s Naidu “Vastunna Mee Kosam” padayatra and YSR Congress party’s Sharmila’s “MaroPraja Prasthanam” padayatra. He said both the padayatras were aimed at protecting self-interest and people would not benefit from them.
