Three plain clothed policemen tried to spy in the house of Dr. Nagam Janardhana Reddy. Dr. Reddy’s supporters suspected these policemen and caught hold of them. Two of them succeeded in escaping. One policeman was caught by the supporters of Dr. Reddy. He was imprisoned in a room. Higher police officials came to his residence, broke open the door forcibly and freed the policeman. They took him along with them.
Dr. Reddy protested on the brutal behaviour of the police. He lodged complaint with the election commission. Police officials have given two different statements over this issue. One officer told that they had received information that money is being distributed for election purpose. The other officer said that the policemen were sent to his residence from security point of view for Dr. Reddy.
