Hyderabad, August 04: Telugu Desam Telangana Forum convener Errabelli Dayakar Rao and senior educationist and MLC Chukka Ramaiah faced some embarrassing moments when they came to express solidarity to ‘Deeksha’ of Telangana Teachers Joint Action Committee at Indira Park on Wednesday, when they were shown slippers and heckled.
The protesting teachers showed slippers and raised `Go back’ slogans against Mr Dayakar Rao. They were demanding that his party clear’s its stand on the separate Telangana statehood demand.
The teachers also obstructed the speech of MLC Chukka Ramaiah and asked United Teachers Federation to make its stand clear on Telangana.
However, Mr Chukka Ramaiah said that he was not affiliated to any group or party and had only come to express solidarity to the Teachers’ dharna.
Earlier, speaking at the Deeksha, Telangana Political Joint Action Committee convenor M Kodandaram alleged that Seemandhra leaders have hatched a conspiracy to destroy the unity among Telangana leaders and cautioned the leaders of the region to be careful and not get caught in the ‘trap.’
Prof Kodandaram alleged that “unable to digest the unity among Telangana leaders, the Seemandhra leaders have hatched a conspiracy to create a rift between the leaders and people of the region by spreading false rumours.”
Prof Kodandaram further cautioned people not to become victims of the Seemandhra leaders’ conspiracy but instead remain united.
“Remain united for the cause of Telangana statehood and work towards fulfilling the people’s aspirations,” the TPJAC chief said.
Prof Kodandaram further called upon the people of the region to stop all services to those who are opposing the formation of Telangana state.
Stating that teachers would play major role in the agitation, he asked all people to extend solidarity to employees strike called set to begin from August 17.
Prof Kodandaram further said that the employees strike is being observed in the region to mount pressure on the Centre to introduce the Telangana Bill in Parliament.
He also called upon people to stage agitations on the road from August 17, paralysing the administration in the state.
Speaking on the occasion Telangana Rashtra Samithi MLA T Harish Rao called upon region people to tear off the `Maa Telugu Talliki’ pages from the textbooks.
“The page on which the `Maa Telugu Talliki’ is printed must be torn off as a form of agitation,” Mr Harish Rao said.
Suspecting the commitment of Telangana Congress leaders’ over the separate statehood cause, the TRS MLA said that the Telangana state can be achieved only through resubmitting the resignations.
“Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy and Speaker Nadendla Manohar have hatched the conspiracy to reject the resignations,” he alleged. Mr Harish Rao further rued that the Congress leaders have not opened their eyes despite their resignations being rejected and are not displaying their commitment towards the statehood.
“The Telangana employees, who are going to launch their mass strike from August 17, would get a morale boost if all leaders resign from their posts.
He demanded the state government conduct SI Recruitments Tests only after the deletion of Clause 14 F from the Presidential Orders.
