Mumbai: The key Indian equity indices trimmed initial gains to trade marginally higher on Tuesday morning.
It had opened on a positive note tracking gains on the Asian stock markets. However, around 9.40 a.m, the indices trimmed major gains and were trading marginally higher from their previous closing levels.
At 9.48 a.m., the BSE Sensex was trading at 38,680.92, higher by 13.59 points or 0.04 per cent from the previous close of 38,667.33 points.
It had opened at 38,813.48 points and has so far touched an intra-day high of 38,923.78 and a low of 38,662.87.
The Nifty50 on the National Stock Exchange was trading at 11,483.45, higher by 9 points or 0.08 per cent from its previous close.
