Valencia, May 10: His Highness Shaikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, has been named the Equestrian Character of the Year by Oxer Sports in recognition of his support to equestrian sports around the world.
The award was presented to Shaikh Ahmed bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Chairman of the National Olympic Committee and Mohammed bin Rashid Foundation, by Carlos Vilarrubi, Chairman of Oxer, at a ceremony held on the sidelines of the Oxer Sports show jumping championship in Valencia.
Present at the ceremony were Director of Dubai Ruler’s Court Ibrahim Al Shaibani, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Meydan Saeed Al Tayer, and senior Spanish officials and sports enthusiasts.
