New Delhi: Global printing solutions provider Epson has been adjudged the top brand in the Indian projector market for fiscal 2016-17.
According to research firm FutureSource Consulting, Epson registered 27.6 per cent market share in terms of unit shipments in the projector category — a jump of 5.8 per cent from 21.8 per cent in fiscal 2015-16.
The firm also marked a 27.2 per market share in revenue — an increase of 6.1 per cent compared to 21.1 per cent in FY16.
The company believes the strength of Epson projectors lies in its revolutionary ‘3LCD’ technology.

“In India we will continue to introduce the best in class product portfolio with innovative features backed by our superior technology and support structure,” Moorthy added.
Epson had a 35.5 per cent market share in data projectors and 39.9 per cent in Home Theatre projectors in calendar year 2016 globally.
The overall market for projectors in India grew 2.9 per cent from 238,463 units in FY15 to 245,568 in FY16, while Epson’s projector sales increased from 51,982 units in FY15 to 67,770 units in FY16 marking a growth of 30.3 per cent.
