Vijayawada, August 01: The results in the recently held Lok Sabha and Assembly elections were not up to the expectations of the party, BJP Andhra Pradesh unit president Bandaru Dattatreya said today.
Addressing a press conference, he said due to the entry of new political political parties, the BJP could not able to increase its voting percentage.
He said though the vote share of Left parties had decreased compared to the previous elections, the BJP, however, won two seats without any poll alliance.
Stating that the partys voting percentage was 3.8 per cent in the General Elections, he said the party would discuss all poll related issues in its ”Chintan Bhaitak” to be held in September next.
Mr Dattatreya was here to participate in the partys membership drive. After the membership drive, the booth and mandal level committees would be formed from September 1 to 15, he said.
There would be District Committee elections, followed by State President elections, in the middle or last week of October, he said.
The election for the post of Partys National president would be held in December next, he added.
