Today women work shoulder to shoulder with the men. Women are making their present felt in every field of life be it educational, political, industrial or social. There is no dearth of such women in our Hyderabad city who work shoulder to shoulder with men and support their families financially.
One such woman is 48-year-old Rekha who drives trolley auto to earn the livelihood. Earlier she used to drive passenger auto. Lady bus conductor Rayees Sultana, R/O Pahadi Shareef is also one such example. Another lady conductor Talat Sultana instead of depending on men ekes her livelihood by working hard. For 55-year old Sughra Bi making incensed sticks is her bread and butter.
Here are few photographs which prove that women do not lag behind men in any field. The first photograph is of women who are cleaning the manhole. The second photograph is of an elderly woman who sells items on push cart. The third picture is of women light bearers in a marriage procession who are lifting illuminated lamps on their heads; interestingly they are also carrying their children in their arms. And the fourth picture is of a veiled woman who does zari work at her house to support her family.
