Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy on Tuesday directed Chief Secretary Minnie Mathew to continuously pursue with NTPC to get the promised additional power at the earliest.
Reviewing the electricity generation position, inflows into reservoirs with the Chief Secretary and CMO officials at Secretariat, the Chief Minister directed the officials to supply 7 hour power to farmers at any cost.
The officials informed the Chief Minister that the demand-supply gap was 30 MU till yesterday and 35 MU on Tuesday. They have also informed that 7-hours free power supply to agriculture sector maintained in all 9,295 agriculture feeders except 13 feeders in the State.
Moderate rains received in many parts of the State and improved inflows into Tungabhadra River would ease power situation, officials informed the Chief Minister.
