Enroll Names in Voter list

Telangana state chief electoral officer Dr. Rajath Kumar has appealed all the citizens who have completed their 18 years of age to utilize opportunity for enrollment of their names in voter list.

Dr. Rajath Kumar, Dr.B.Janardhan Reddy, District Election Officer & Commissioner, GHMC has launched voter registration campaign to create awareness about the importance of the voting and to increase for the percentage of votes in the coming elections.

Interacting with the media and officials the CEO said that every citizen must feel the responsibility in getting a good Govt., for the overall development of the state and every need is there that every citizen should come forward to take part to cast their vote and also to increase the percentage in the coming elections.

The Election Commission and GHMC is also striving hard to create awareness about the importance of voting and conducting various awareness campaigns involving various NGOs, SHGs for the purpose. The CEO stated that from today onwards the booth level officers will be visiting at the doorstep of every households to check and verify about the inclusion and deletions of the voters and this is a continue process so that the citizens can avail this opportunity to enroll their names.

Dr.B.Janardhan Reddy, District Election Officer & Commissioner, GHMC said that the GHMC officials have trained booth level officers for effective role to play for the inclusion and deletion of the names in the electoral list and further stated that the GHMC has created myghmc app in the recent past where more than 3 lakh citizens have uploaded the app and yielding very good results to solve their representations pertaining to various civic related issues.

The Commissioner said that this GHMC app will also be provided a facility in online to register their names through this app in the electoral rolls in the coming days.

The GHMC will also taking the services of the retired but not tired officials and involving them for the awareness and importance of voting and fixing them the responsibility to work as booth level officers to increase overall percentage of voting in the coming days.

The GHMC regularly giving SMS to around 11 lakh citizens about various initiatives taken up by the GHMC to create awareness and this will also help in the near future for the citizens to know about the electoral roll details etc., through myghmc app, SMS and other methods to reach the citizens.

Some of the Organizers who have made this platform have also given their suggestions for which the CEO and Commissioner, GHMC have assured them to look in to it for further improvement of the voter enrolment programme.
