The Enlightening speech of a Hindu Police Commissioner

Sholapur, April 29 (Siasat News): It is now very much confirmed that Islam is gaining momentum with every passing day and even the opponents of the religion, speak in its favour.

After Shankar Acharya’s historic address with an Islamic gathering, it was the turn of a Hindu Police Commissioner viz Bhushan Kumar Upadhyay of Sholapur, was invited by a Muslim organization to express his thoughts regarding Islam.

And imagine, the way, Mr. Kumar addressed the gathering, it was just like conquering the hearts of thousands present there. He started his speech with renowned couplets:

Naam-o-nasab zameen ke naslon mein bat gaye
Adam ke bete kitne qabeelon mein bat gaye

Aye hain jab se pesh imamat ke mas’ale
Sajde hamare kitne marhalon mein bat gaye

Den kis tarah se qaum ko ilzam-e-gumrahi
Jab rahnuma hi quam key firqon mein bat gaye

This is how he started elaborating the thoughts about Islam. He said that Allah is Rabbul Alemeen whereas Hazrat Mohammad (PBUH) is Rahmatul  Alemeen.

There are many misconceptions about Islam but when he himself studied the Quran, he realized that how people were wrong. Nabi was sent by Allah for the entire humanity and not for the Muslims alone.

If one would go through with holy Quran, he or she realized that it is the way to get closer to Allah. He further elaborated the word Jihad that is always been represented wrongly. Mr. Kumar said that the word Jihad is used in holy Quran 41 times and the word compassion is used 325 times. See the difference. It means Quran has emphasized on compassion, the most.

He further said that there are two types of war. Akbar and Asghar. The fight with sword is called the Asghar (small) war whereas the fight against our ‘nafs’ is the akbar war. After reciting the Quran, he concluded that people who are against Islam and Muslims, have actually not studied Islam to its minutest detail.

When the teaching of compassion is foremost in the holy book, how can the followers of the same religion could turn to terrorism? Unity and peace are the hallmarks of Islam and every one regardless of religion, caste and creed, should follow them.

Mr. Bhushan Kumar Upadhyay concluded his speech with another couplet:

Mohabbat se karo aaghaz to ajnabi bhi qareeb aate hain
Mohabbat hai ek roohani manzil, jaha farishte bhi sar jhukate hain
