The England cricket team has reportedly sent a 82-page menu to each Test ground in Australia ahead of the upcoming winter Ashes, detailing almost 200 specialist dishes and drinks to be made available to Alastair Cook and his team-mates as they tour Australia.
The list has reportedly been prepared by England and Wales Cricket Board”s (ECB) performance nutritionist Chris Rosimus, who has included all the juices, sandwiches, soups and salads needed to keep England players fed, watered and healthy.
According to the Mirror, the list of 194 specialist dishes and drinks includes recipes like mung bean curry with spinach pistachio, piri-piri breaded tofu with tomato salsa, quinoa and cranberry breakfast bar, roasted vegetable and halloumi kebabs with red pepper dip. Rosimus has requested the officials at the venues of Brisbane, Adelaide, Perth, Melbourne and Sydney to make sure that they use freshly cooked meat instead of processed meats for any meat used in sandwich fillings, adding that all fish must be filleted and contain no bones. Rosimus further said that the quantities mentioned must be followed, along with the ingredients listings, adding that only low fat mayonnaise and yoghurts should be used. (ANI)
