A 20-year-old student died on the spot while his friend got injured when the motorcycle they were riding on lost control and hit a road divider.
The accident occurred on Laxmireddy Palem Road on Thursday morning. The victim, A Tarun Kumar, and his friend Rajesh, were immediately rushed to a nearby hospital where Tarun was declared brought dead. Tarun was a native of Anantapur and was doing his B Tech 2nd year from St Mary’s Engineering College, according to Hayathnagar police.
In another case, Izhar Pasha, 32, died on the spot after he was hit by a lorry on Narsingi Road in the early hours of Thursday. According to Narsingi Police, Pasha was a lorry driver and hailed from Karnataka. He parked his lorry on Narsingi Road and met with the accident while trying to cross the road for some work. (INN)
