Engineering student among three killed in road accidents

Three persons were killed in different road accidents in the city.

On Upper Tank Bund, a morning walker died on the spot after he was hit and run by an unidentified vehicle on Tuesday morning. The deceased was later identified as K Suresh, 85, of Rangrez Bazar in Secunderabad. The Gandhi Nagar police have registered a case and began investigations to trace the vehicle using CC Camera footage.

In another case, 24-year-old Shailesh Kumar Singh died on the spot while his friend Nitin suffered injuries when the motorcycle they were riding on lost balance and hit a pole on JNTU-Gachibowli flyover bridge on Monday night. Shailesh was a resident of Pragati Nagar and an employee of a private firm. Nitin is undergoing treatment in a private hospital, according to Madhapur police.

In a different case, 19-year-old Yashwant died of injuries which he suffered when the motorcycle he was riding skidded on Neredmet flyover on November 9. He was admitted to a private hospital where he died on Tuesday. He was a student of engineering second year a resident of Srikrishna Nagar of Safilguda, according to Neredmet police. (INN)
