Mr. K. Parthasarathy, Minister for Higher Education, Govt. of AP advised the students of Engineering streams to get ready to face the common entrance test to be conducted in 2013 throughout the country as announced by the Union HRD Minister Mr. Kapil Sibal. He was addressing a meeting of the higher officials of the Department of Higher Education in secretariat which was convened to review the common entrance test for engineering students.
Mr. K. Parthasarathy told that for admission into IIT’s NIT’s and IIIT’s there will be a common entrance test.
He also told that Govt. of AP has to face the modalities of the common medical entrance test (NEET). He expressed the confidence that it will be resolved very soon.
On the issue of the intermediate students to conduct another advanced supplementary examination in Physics, he said that the High Court order will be honoured and the officials of Board of Intermediate Education will make arrangements for conducting this examination as early as possible.
